Waxed canvas should never be dry cleaned or machine washed. It can be cleaned carefully by hand. Brush off the loose dirt, rinse the surface with cold water, gently scrub with a brush, then let air dry. If stains persist, use mild bar soap or saddle soap.

After cleaning, waxed canvas may need to be re-waxed. To do so, use a wax conditioner and apply following the manufacturer's instructions.

I got both colors and I'm really glad I did because these are AWESOME! I am using them to gather small pieces of firewood for use in various biofuel mini stoves, rocket stoves and mini firepits. They come with a snap-in waterproof liner for things such as flowers. There are a couple outer pockets. These would be great for collecting beach rocks, given how sturdy they are. I love that the bottom is open so it is easy to unclip and dump out your wood or rocks or whatever you are gathering. There is only one thing I might change, and that is to make both ends of the straps removable. One end is sewn in.

LOVE!!!
I love this bag! I use it for everything: gardening, firewood, hiking, as a day bag holding anything, as a farmers market or shopping bag, for toiletries or electronics, you name it...
I did add two carabiners to extend the usable space, because the only downside to this wonder bag is that you cannot close the bottom and use all of it when you need to. I may look into having a zipper or snaps installed, but if not, it is well worth it as is.
