At Barebones Living, we design outdoor tools, cookware, lighting, and gear built for a lifetime of wild places and elevated living. We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and offer robust warranty coverage against manufacturing and material defects.

Warranty Coverage Types

Barebones products purchased directly from barebonesliving.mom or through an authorized Barebones distributor/retailer are covered by either a 2-Year Limited Warranty or a Limited Lifetime Warranty, as specified on each product page.

Two-Year (2-Year) Limited Warranty

Covers defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship under normal consumer use, proper care, and maintenance for two (2) years from the original purchase date.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Covers defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship under normal consumer use, proper care, and maintenance for the practical lifetime of the product for the original owner.

  • Third-Party & Co-Branded Products: Products manufactured by third-party brands and sold on our site (items not manufactured directly by Barebones) are covered exclusively by their respective manufacturer’s warranties. Please contact the original manufacturer for third-party warranty support.

Warranty Policy

What IS Covered Under Warranty

Our warranties cover structural failures and functional defects resulting from manufacturing errors under intended consumer use, including:

  • Broken welds, structural casting flaws, or seam failures.
  • Defective electrical wiring, LED chips, or internal charging modules in lanterns and speakers.
  • Defective hardware, latches, or structural rivets on tools and storage gear.
  • Material integrity failures occurring during normal, non-commercial use.

Warranty Remedies

If your Barebones product is determined to have a covered manufacturing defect, Barebones Living will, at its sole discretion:

  1. Supply Replacement Parts: Ship individual replacement parts or components to restore full functionality.
  2. Issue a Product Replacement: Replace the defective product with the same model.
  3. Offer Equivalent Value Credit: If the original product has been discontinued or is out of stock, provide a replacement product or store credit of equivalent retail value.

Warranty Policy

What IS NOT Covered (Exclusions & Void Conditions)

To preserve the integrity of our products and warranty program, the following items and conditions are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Cosmetic scratches, scuffs, dents, fabric fading, or gradual wear from regular outdoor use.
  • Natural Aging & Patina: Material oxidation, copper/brass patina development, and natural wood grain variations. These are intentional aesthetic characteristics of heritage materials and are not manufacturing defects.
  • Lack of Maintenance & Improper Care: Surface rust, pitting, or corrosion on cast iron or high-carbon steel blades resulting from moisture exposure, lack of seasoning, or improper indoor/outdoor storage (see our Product Care Guides).
  • Misuse & Abuse: Damage caused by commercial or rental use, improper assembly, dropping products on hard surfaces, modifications/alterations, or using incompatible third-party accessories.
  • Resold or Secondary Purchases: Products purchased secondhand, through unauthorized auction sites, garage sales, or liquidators.
  • Lost or Stolen Items: Replacement of lost, misplaced, or stolen products or individual components.

EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES STATED ABOVE, BAREBONES SYSTEMS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL BAREBONES BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF OUR PRODUCTS. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
